The European Cricket Network (ECN) has been gaining a lot of traction in recent years with its T10 format of the game. The format has been lauded for its fast-paced, high-scoring action, and has been gaining popularity in countries around the world. Gibraltar were proud to host a 4-week long tournamen with over 60 players participating.
The tournament saw four teams take part - Sloggers CC, Rugby CC, Pirates CC, and Entertainers. The teams played a round-robin format. The top two teams at the end of the round-robin stage would then face off in the final.
The Entertainers got off to a flying start, winning their first 15 matches in a row to take a comfortable lead at the top of the points table. Led by their captain, the talented all-rounder Myles Goodfellow, the Entertainers looked like the team to beat in the tournament.
However, on finals day, it was the Pirates who came out on top, beating the Entertainers in a closely-fought match to be crowned the ECN T10 Gibraltar winners. The Pirates, led by their captain, the hard-hitting batsman Ryan Grimes, showed great resilience and determination to overcome the odds and emerge victorious.

The tournament was a great success, not only in terms of the quality of cricket on display, but also in terms of the interest it generated among fans in Gibraltar. The matches were well-attended, with fans turning out in large numbers to support their favorite teams.
The success of the ECN T10 tournament in Gibraltar is a testament to the growing popularity of the T10 format around the world. With its fast-paced action and high-scoring games, the format is proving to be a hit with fans and players alike. It will be interesting to see how the format develops in the coming years, and whether it can establish itself as a mainstream format of the game alongside the more traditional formats like Test and ODI cricket.
